Counting down the days to Spring Break... only 2 more 2 go!  Today, Thursday the 23rd, our 8th grade CORE Plus Olympic games continue.  After school, 8th Grade Girls Volleyball welcomes Options- go Pumas!  And Homework Club meets today.  Have a tremendous Thursday!

It's Tuesday the 21st, and it's a busy day here.  8th Grade CORE Plus Olympic Festivities begin today- may the best team win!  We're also showing Screenagers again this morning at 8 am.  After school, Gamer's Club, Homework Club and Jazz Band meet and 8th Grade Volleyball practices. Finally, our Tuesday closes out with the District Choir Festival at LHS at 6:30 pm.  Have a terrific Tuesday!

Maroon Monday!  And the first day of the last week before Spring Break...  after school 7th Grade Girls Volleyball practices, and both Art Club and Color Guard meet.  7th graders interested in Choir next year need to stay after school for Auditions.  We finish our Monday with a movie- we're showing the film "Screenagers" here tonight at 6 pm.  Have a magnificent Monday!

It's a fun Thursday here as we host some of our elementary students for a musical assembly this morning. We also welcome parents and guardians interested in attending this month's PTO meeting at 9 am.  After school, 8th Grade Girls Volleyball welcomes Goddard and both Color Guard and Homework Club meet.

It's a PLC Late Start Wednesday, so school begins at 9:54 and students are allowed in the building at 9:30 (when NJHS meets). After our short day here 7th Grade Girls Volleyball practices and MathCounts meets.  Head back to Powell this evening at 7 pm for our 6th and 7th Grade Strings Concert.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Today is a busy Tuesday here at Powell... after school our 8th Grade Girls Volleyball teams open their season with a game here against Newton- go Pumas!  Clubs meeting here today are Comic Book, Gamers and Homework Club.  Finally, we close out our day here with 6th and 7th grade band concerts, at 6:30 and 7:30 respectively.  Have a terrific Tuesday!

Back in Black... it's the beginning of a BLACK week here (meaning there is a PLC late start Wednesday), and the beginning of 4th Quarter.  After school today we have 8th Grade Girls Volleyball practice, and a few clubs meeting: Art, Builders and Color Guard.  Have a marvelous Monday!

Happy Friday (Jr)!  It's the last day of our short week here (remember there is NO school tomorrow, Friday, March 10th), and it's also the last day of Spirit Week.  Show your spirit by wearing Neon today!  You'll then be dressed and ready for our School Dance... Powell Students should wear their neon (and bring their student IDs) and join us from 3-4 pm for our Neon, Space Dance- it'll be out of this world!

It's Wednesday, Disney Day!  Show your school spirit, and love of Disney, by wearing something with your favorite Disney character (remember, Star Wars is now part of Disney ;) After school we have Student-Led Conferences from 4-7:30 pm (doors will close at 7).  Parents, please plan on bringing your student(s) for these conferences.  No appointments are necessary, you and your student(s) can just stop in and chat with teachers at your discretion.

Spirit Week continues here with Tuesday, Teacher Swap Day.  Students get the chance to dress like their teachers, and students get to dress like the teachers- so fun! The fun continues after school with 7th Grade Volleyball practice, Comic Book Club, Homework Club and Jazz Band. Finally, we have a fun evening evening at Goddard for the District Vocals Concert. Have a tremendous Tuesday!

It's a Manic (crazy) Monday here at Powell, as we kick off this WHITE week with our first day of Spirit Week... Crazy Day!  Wear a wacky outfit and/or a crazy hairstyle.  At the end of our crazy day here we have 8th Grade Volleyball practice and Color Guard.  This evening is the Advanced District Orchestra festival at LHS. Have a crazy, fun day!

It's a musical, Maroon, Thursday here at Powell.  This morning our small music ensembles perform. After school, 7th grade Volleyball practices. The music continues this evening with 6th and 7th grade vocal concerts beginning at 7 pm. Have a magical, musical, day!
