We wrap up November with a busy Thursday: our 7th and 8th grade wrestlers head over to Goddard for their last meet of the season before the district tournament, and our 8th grade girls basketballers head to Euclid for a game- good luck today, Pumas! Back at Powell, Art Club and Homework Club both take place.

We have a few things happening here on a late start Wednesday... both our wrestling team and 8th grade girls basketball team practice here as they prepare for playoffs, and Magic Club and Cube Melters meet.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Welcome to Tuesday, November 28th, and welcome to another group of our Prospective Parents, as they tour the school beginning at 9:15.  Then, beginning promptly after school today we have the following athletics and activities: Brain Bowl, Builders Club, Chess Club, Homework Club, Jazz Band and Wrestling.  Have a tremendous Tuesday!

Our final group of 7th graders depart this morning for International Towne- have fun!  After school, participants in the following clubs and athletics are welcome (and expected ;) to stay for 8th grade basketball practice, wrestling practice, Art Club, Chess Club, and Homework Club. This terrific Tuesday starts off with another group of 7th graders going to International Towne- bonne journee!  Back at Powell, Brain Bowl, Homework Club and Jazz Band meet and our 7th and 8th grade wrestling teams host the Newton Knights- go Pumas!

Today we honor our nation's service men and women as we celebrate Veteran's Day throughout the day- retired and active duty military members will be joining our 6th graders throughout the day to share their stories of service.  Happy Veteran's Day!

Thankfully it's Thursday, November 9th, and we have a fun Thursday planned! Our 7th and 8th grade wrestlers welcome Goddard for the second meet of the season, and our 8th grade girls basketball heads over to Goddard for a game- good luck against those Vikings! Art Club and Homework club both stick around here after school as well.  Be thankful for the day!

It's Wednesday, November 8th and we have a lot happening here... Student Council starts off this late start day with a meeting at 8:30.  After school, both 7th and 8th grade girls basketball practice, as does wrestling, and MathCounts meets.  Our day ends with our annual Cyber Safety Night at 6 pm.

We send our 6th grade band and orchestra students off to the Colorado Symphony this morning, and we welcome our Prospective Parents for a tour at 9:15.  Later today, our 8th grade girls basketball team welcomes the Newton Knights- let's go Pumas! Homework Club, Brain Bowl, Chess Club, Jazz Band and Wrestling all meet here after school as well.

We're sweatin' to the oldies here today, it's Decades Day, so show your spirit by dressing up in gear from your favorite decade!  Those 7th graders heading to Dinosaur Ridge might want to plan on bringing coats to cover their retro wear in case it's cold up there. After school Art Club meets and our wrestling team welcomes Euclid. Have a groovy day!

Welcome to a Wacky Wednesday here at Powell!  Spirit Week rolls on with Wacky Day- wear crazy socks, clothes, hair (keep to dress code!).  If you're involved in one of the following activities you should stick around after school for practice: 7th grade girls basketball, wrestling and MathCounts.
